The quotation alone will show you what type of company you are dealing with. If your quote is a hand-written note on a piece of paper, that’s a loud and clear cue to keep on looking. A professional company will supply you with a professional quotation. The opposite is also true.
2. Meet the contractor to discuss the quotation
It’s easy and commonplace to choose the cheapest quote we are presented with and by way of telephonic confirmation, the contractor is appointed. Do yourself a favour and take the time to meet the contractor in person and go through the quotation to discuss matters that might be unclear to you. Ask any and all questions you may have. This will go a long way in avoiding expensive misunderstandings and miscommunication further down the line.
